La Seguiniere, Nr Cholet

 Friday 4 April

Carried on travelling this morning on the A28 via Le Mans towards the Loire.  We planned to stop for lunch at a picnic Aire near Angers, but then there was a sign - Ferme!  So we carried on around Angers and as satnav said there was an Intermarche supermarket just off one of the junctions, we thought their carpark will have to do.  But on seeing the shop and carpark, we couldn't see where the entrance was - so continued along the road meaning to turn round and try again.  But then we spotted a sports centre on the left with a large, almost empty carpark with a freshly mown lawn.  Just the spot for us!

Not far on from there, we came to our next night's stay at another Camping-Car Park at La Seguiniere, west of Cholet.  Not as spacious as last night, but found a nice pitch.  Then a good walk into the village, admired the large church and it's colourful tulips

and then by the River Moine and it's lovely park.

On our way back, we passed a garden with this scarecrow.  We'd spotted it on our way into the park and waved to the chap in the garden - he looked ever so much like the scarecrow!  Somehow we also managed to pass a patisserie and couldn't resist buying our pudding.

Today has been even warmer and without any wind, but by late afternoon the sun had gone in while on our walk.  Just deciding where to head to tomorrow....

  1. Enjoying your blog and envying your lack of wind! It’s been very blustery here, especially on the hills and north coast.
