Fouras

 Sunday 13 April

A morning staying put in the van as we joined zoom church at home, then after a brief lunch, just as the sun was coming through, we set off on our daily walk.  As yesterday, we followed the seafront past the fishing piers, this time as the tide was out, we could see that the stone they are built on looks volcanic.

Around the corner to the main beach of Fouras....
... on past the little harbour, up a flight of steps onto the cliff-top park (for a rest!)
Then past the fort/Chateau de Fouras.

To another lovely beach.
As we carried on, we followed a road with large old typical seaside houses.

This is one of the ones that back on to the sea with lovely-smelling Mimosa?? against the fence.

After going on further in order to find a geocache (did find this one!) we doubled back to the main beach front to one of the cafes for our afternoon tea.  This is my honey and lemon crepe - John's caramel one is fast disappearing ....
....  They were really scrummy.
Came back via the small town - familiar looking bandstand
Very tall steepled church

and back past the harbour
and a few pictures of the lovely houses (all with magnificent sea views) on our way back to our van.
